Clip Tool

This clip tool was designed for an automotive manufacturer who had a problem with assembly fitters leaving clips off assemblies.

The tool holds the clip firmly while it is manually pushed on to the component

The tool fits into the holder where the clip and tool are sensed for presence. When both are present the operator then fits the clip onto the assembly and replaces the empty tool.

When the clip sensor has been sensed to be used the assembly line can proceed.

The clip tool was connected to a modified air screw counter which was then connected to the assembly line to trigger a "job done" signal.
