Fiat Panda 4WD Propshaft Assembly Machines

 

In Part 1 of the cell VL Joints are pressed together and adhesive applied. Pick and place cylinders then transfer the VL to the next operation. The next operation is a fixture for the Joint to shaft assembly.

Finally the shaft is tested for all parts present and correctly located on the assembly.

 

The next operation is to press on bearings and flingers on to the shafts measuring load and distance.

 

Finally the two halves of the shaft are pushed together while monitoring load and distance to ensure correct assembly.

 

These machines were manufactured to the customers short timing plan and also have features such as, light guards, 2 different component types, many Poke Yoke features and an integrated PLC and HMI to ensure rejects are dealt with correctly.
