Gearbox/Transmission test beds are used for the final
test and running of gearboxes prior despatch. Gearbox
test rigs are designed, manufactured and commissioned
by Incotech for a wide type of gearbox types including
2wd, 4wd, manual and automatic. Worldwide customers
Include Caterpillar and JCB.
These
pictures show a typical machine that was installed in
the USA for gearboxes which is capable of testing 7
different types of gearbox.
|
|
All
gearbox test rigs are supplied with a high specification
oil filtration system that enables the oil used in
the gearboxes to be tested for particles and filtered.
Oil flows and temperatures are measured and all variables
are monitored to be within set limits.
|
|
This
particular machine test sequence is controlled by a
WMA software which records test results and data.
We
also use VMC control software on many of our machines.
There are many different options of control software
available, and the choice of software/control manufacturer
is down to customer preference.
|
 |
|
The
gearbox test rig uses a directly coupled electric motor
to drive the transmission.
Pressure
transducers are used to measure and in some cases calibrate
oil pressures in the clutch packs and lube pressures
within the gearbox.
|
Other
gearbox test rigs:
Many
gearbox/transmission rigs have been designed by Incotech
to accommodate different gearbox designs.
Some rigs apply an output load either electrically,
pneumatically or hydraulically, and all feature an automatically
loading headstock to enable easy loading and unloading
of the gearbox and spline drives.
Other
smaller rigs have been designed to run in gearboxes
before use in the field. The test specification is determined
by the customer and Incotech will ensure the test criteria
is achieved.
