This
machine was commissioned to ensure the correct assembly of
Landrover sunroofs. Designed in 3D using customer CAD data. |

The machine uses
a vacuum to hold the glass in place on exact peg heights taken
from Car Line CAD data. The glass is then held by clamps.
The frame is then placed on top and held by 4 Festo swing
clamps, again located on car line pegs to align the roof correctly.
The
Bosch air tool is then used to screw four screws to secure
the roof. Each screw is counted and the roof is not released
until 4 screws have been counted. |
